School Policies

At the Emer Dunne School of Performing Arts we aim to promote good practice.
We have a duty of care to our students, and parents need to feel confident that as an organisation, we have the safety of their children as our primary concern.

We are affiliated with the Leinster School of Music and Drama and the National Teaching Council of Ireland, the Speech and Drama teachers of Ireland, the PAEI – Performing Arts Educators of Ireland.

Teachers in our school are Garda vetted and the Emer Dunne School of Performing Arts is committed to safeguarding the well-being of all children and young people with whom our staff come into contact.

Our policy on child safeguarding is in accordance with “Children First Act 2015, Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (2017) and “Our Duty of Care” and Tusla’s Child Safeguarding: A Guide for Policy, Procedure and Practice. Also the new guidance for online teaching 2019.

In our school we have a number of policies in place including a code of conduct, child protection, privacy policy, school rules and more.
