Don’t miss this great opportunity to help your child improve their speech and to gain the confidence needed to present and act out their drama activities all from the comfort of your own home.
These are unique and small and interactive classes tailored to your child’s age and grade level. The small groups allow for more learning time and individual attention to suit each child’s learning needs.
After these online sessions there is the option to engage with face-to-face sessions to work further on performance and presentation before completing their drama exam.
The Speech and Drama Grade Exams have an additional set fee per grade each year. This is admistered and paid in full to the Leinster school of Speech & Drama, Griffith College Dublin.
These are paid in full to the Leinster school of Music and Drama in advance of the exam.

Children, like adults, benefit greatly from having an end goal.
We all need something to work towards to drive us and to help us achieve our ambitions.
By participating in graded exams with the Leinster School of Music and Drama, this can help your child improve their speech and language skills, and confidence.
They will learn techniques to improve their presentation skills, including the importance of clear delivery and body language.
With more interviews and presentations moving online, learning online could be a hugely beneficial practice for your child alongside the more traditional face to face sessions.
How classes works?
Once you have completed your registration and we have assigned the suitable grade to your child based on age and previous experience, parents will gain access to the parents’ portal and have documentation of the material needed for each grade.
On receipt of this material children will be able to learn material at home between each session.
They will also be able to mark out new learning areas online during the sessions.
By participating in these 30 – 40 min online sessions, children are grouped according to their grade level and age, so the learning material is planned to meet their needs and they will have more individual attention and teacher/student time. Class times vary depending on the grade level at hand.
When the material is learned, and the pupils are ready – they can then opt to combine these online sessions with individual online sessions to specifically work on your child’s exam performance skills or they are welcome to attend face to face sessions with a small group to work on their performance and presentation skills in advance of their grade exams.
What makes us unique?
For Speech and Drama grade exams
The children are working in small groups online, tailored to suit their own age and grade level.
They will receive more individual attention and help than possible in a larger group setting. Parents can make arrangements for children to log in from the comfort of their own home or from another location e.g. child minder, if they are working.
The children will learn the material online and between the sessions and focus on delivery and meaning,
Live online sessions can be combined with pre recorded videos and additional aids –
Your child will be guided through the material for their grade and given the chance to learn the material while engaging in the live sessions and during the week at home. This helps to teach the importance of responsibility for learning and studying their own work.
These sessions are then combined with a unique offer of either private tutorials or face to face sessions.
Children or young adults from anywhere in Ireland can engage with these virtual drama sessions with our school which will focus on preparing them for their relevant grades.

Do you like to sing? Do you wish to learn the correct techniques to help you improve your vocal ability? Would you like to learn how to look after your voice and vocal cords? Would you like to have fun learning songs and working on performance delivery?

WORKSHOPS
In our first workshop children will engage with drama games, improvisation, mime and acting scenes. This will take place on a Saturday morning.
The focus of these sessions will be on enjoyment, social interaction, team work, acting for fun and all the while learning and developing new skills and techniques.
Workshops will be face to face or online depending on request.

In our carefully planned and uniquely designed classes the children will engage in various activities which will help them to develop concentration skills, creativity, confidence building, speech work, social skills and acting
skills.
We begin with some warm up activities and games (there is a clear purpose to each drama game we choose).
We work on speech development and then move on to other aspects in drama, singing and/or dance.
We have always taken small numbers since 2017 as we are aware of the benefits of keeping the groups at a manageable and cohesive level so they benefit from group participation and get individual assistance when required.
From Emer’s teaching experience she understands that children will gain more from classes that haven’t too many children and she prioritises the quality of learning over the quantity.
These unique classes have been tailored to suit the varying age groups.

JANUARY 2023
Children from the Midlands can engage with live performing arts classes.
These classes include a range of activities in drama, theatre and acting skills, speech and drama, music and musical theatre, singing and dance choreography.
This year children will also be working towards a performance and show for the public.
Limited numbers so early booking is advised.
